New Shik July 2012 printed from la Mia Boutique

I definitely like this issue more than ANY previous issues of this year! Especially I like the dress number 8 with bows-like back! 12 and 13 looks like a great top and skirt combo - see it on the model and number 11 looks very much wearable for every day!
I'm going to post office to subscribe right now!

New Burda July 2012 preview

This is my fav from the preview!

I  definitely like this issue more than June! (I even think if I want to buy June Burda!!!  (Gasp of air))) I enlarged clothes that I like. Dress with ruffles on the side is the candidate to sew. Is this a knit??!!
What do you think?

New Diana Moden Simplicity June 2012

Here is the full preview

But I am excited about these two dresses

The dress initially (the left one that i like) is a cocktail dress, which is not practical at all, but a creative person can change that and try other top with more coverage from another pattern!

Love the easiness of this dress, and with pretty small print it will look great!

I already have checked PR and reviews were positive! Do you have plans to make them?
And what is a best thing - I am subscribed to this magazine, so I just have to wait for it to arrive!

Look at my previous posts to see preview on humans!

Update
I'm really not  impressed by the issue!
Maybe this dress?
But in real life it doesn't look exciting at all
The same dress longer in fabric looks better
Maybe this jacket?

What about you? Did you find anything?

Mass produced clothes from Burda magazine

I snapped this picture today at a local store. In case you don't know, this is the model from Burda magazine 02-2012. It is sewn by a russian company based in Novosibirsk  ( it is printed on a label). It was 4 dresses in different sizes. I thought that's only Chinese companies sew from Burda magazine. Not only, obviously.
Have you seen anything like that in YOUR stors across the world? What do you think about that? Is mass produsing clothes by using Burda patterns allowed by Burda company?

My Burda 05-2012 capsule wardrobe-continue

This is the middle part of choosing a capsule wardrobe for Spring-Summer 2012. This time I chose techs to play with SHAPES. No color, no patterns, just shapes, to see what mixes with what!
  1.  I chose items that I'd want to wear or that I wanted to try to wear, as a white pleated maxi skirt #9, that I never wore in my life before.
  2. I separated a dress #1&7 into a top and a skirt. This way I'll get more use TWO items with basic shapes then just one dress.
  3. After some playing, I separated all clothes into TWO CATEGORIES - formal, that have a stuctured shape, and can be worn to work or when you want to look great,  and non-formal, that has more relaxed fit and can be worn on weekends and not at work. I wrote it near numbers near each tech.
  4. Blouse #6 I didn't include because it is a plus size, and it is in a "maybe" pile.
 My conclusions:
  • Top1 and skirt 7 remained to have the most versatile shapes, as I stated in the previous post.
  • Pants 14 are trash and are worth sewing only as a pajama pants! They don't fit with most of garments except tops 2 and 3. I'd take  the diagonal pannel and put it in the pants 15 to have  decent pants.
  • Top 5 HAVE to be fitted! It have to have darts in the waist area in order to fit well!
  • A belt 16 has no use with this clothes, only over a tight knit tank top and very slim pants.
  • Сlothes that have basic shapes have to be sewn in basic colors (in order to have more use). Clothes that have a relaxed fit might be in print or any color.
  • I added a top 17 and shirt 18 because thay are very versatile too and can be formal and non-formal, depends on what you want.
Next part will be on what I want to sew in my REAL life!
